Description
The Makaira is the high-performance surfoil board in the range. It has a higher aspect ratio than the FlyingSquid, which gives it excellent glide when paddling.
Its reduced width, particularly at the back foot, allows for a lot of angle, so you won’t be limited in your carves. This surfoil board performs well in all conditions, even the biggest ones.
The Makaira features a refined hull, with a double concave in the front third, providing excellent takeoff. The hull, with its double concave integrated into a global concave, ensures it doesn’t stick to the water, especially during touchdowns. The volume distribution is relatively forward, with a bulbous nose, allowing for a proper paddling position. This also enables an advanced foil position and gives the sensation of a smaller board.

Construction:
Our Wingfoil boards are offered with two different constructions:
- Partial PVC Sandwich: EPS core 20kg/m3, PVC sandwich reinforcement on the deck and rails. PVC reinforcement under the plate with a rigid connection (foam 180kg/m3) between the deck and the hull, and carbon fiber laminate.
- Full PVC Sandwich: EPS core 15kg/m3, PVC sandwich reinforcement on the deck, rails, and hull. PVC reinforcement under the plate with a rigid connection (foam 180kg/m3) between the deck and the hull.
